Here are 2 pix of my 1984 B2200 just after getting its oil changed last weekend. The frame is spotless with the exception of surface rust here and there. Original CA truck until last year.

The truck looks good and I would say the frame isn't perfect. I wish the 80's Japenese pickups had stronger frames. I am dealing with rust on my 1982 Chevy LUV pickup and in some places has holes in the frame. Overall, the frame rust isn't bad for it being a Pennsylvania truck for it's whole life. That is also cool you have a 1984 Mazda B2200 diesel because it is the last year for the diesel. I think 1982 was the most common year for the Mazda diesel pickup. Just my opinion and I am looking forward to eventually owning a Mazda B2200 diesel.

Actually the frame is perfect. Its a bad pic. It was also just driven in the rain when the pic was taken. The frame has light surface rust where the paint has worn away but no rot whatsoever. In fact if I was to paint it semi gloss black it would look new again. The rear corners of the cab behind the rocker panels have surface rust on them because of sandblasting. The truck was towed behind a motor home quite a bit. The front of the fuel tank has also been blasted as the pic shows. They dont come any more solid than this.
