Hit Agway and get some skunk deodorant. Then put them on Ebay. You'll probably get ennought to buy a new truck...............

Hi John. The original owner of my truck had the seat reupholstered. It's pretty nice and it matches well. It was put in in November of 1996. I'm not sure but it might smell a bit musty itself. My carpet is original and has normal wear plus what looks like a cigar burn on it. Of course, all of this is moot because I can't do with out them and if I did sel them I'd need something to sit on in exchange.
I recently took the seat and carpet out of another pickup truck. I vacuumed them really good. Then I scrubbed them with hydrogen peroxide cleaner. I hosed them off and let them dry in the sun for a day. It was quite satisfying and it worked well. The seat is cloth and was kinda grungy. The carpet had an accumulation of stains from food spills and whatnot. Plus something (maybe both) just had a funky smell. I also had to shake a bunch of beach sand out of the carpet which a vacuum can't get out (it was deep in the carpet and you couldn't really tell it was there).
Maybe you can try cleaning with one of those hydrogen peroxide cleaners. I used OrangeGlo Oxi Clean that I got from Wal*Mart. I think you can get bigger tubs of the stuff (probably another brand) from The Home Depot. But because you have to rinse seat and carpet before the stuff dries, you need to have them out in the yard near the garden hose.
By the way, you know you're already a registered member of this forum under dieseldork64 , right?
