Just a guess....but the floor pans, cab mount (under the A pillar), and frame are rotten.
If I've learned anything from 30 years of stick welding, pop riviting and spreading roofing tar, it's that mud flaps stop more than mud. My first Mazda was a 1973 B1600 with no rockers, floor pans and an engine that sucked antifreeze past an aluminum head for a year. It was only $200 and had only 49K on it. I welded $40 worth of 16 gauge galvi sheet metal on it and ran it 3 years before the floor, frame ect went again right where the tires sandblasted them.

hi. well the floor pans and rockers are solid. infact it was a few years ago when new rocker panels and part of the driver side was welded up. only bad spots are the frame. and the frame has been welded up numerous times over the years. steel plate here an there. she's pretty bad under there. im still driving it, about 6 more days left on the trip permit ;D she's just begging to be worked but i think thats what im going to be doing with'er. pull the motor, eltric fuel pump etc etc and mount it onto a heavey duty utility frame and couple a gen-set to'er. paint everything up. build a metal shrowed around it. use it for emergenceys, or on some new acreage land i find. who knows perhaps a few years down the road i may find yet another new home for it. its a great motor, starts in all weather temps. So what's going to happen to this forum?
What's are you going to do with all of your remaining parts of this truck? That paint job that you took photos of isn't too old, is it?
