Anybody here own the brochures for the 82-84 Mazda pickups? I wanted to read about the diesel model truck in them and see what the brochure shows for the EPA mileage of city and highway. Not only that, but to get more info on the Mazda diesel truck period.

I saw a couple going by on ebay. I think they may have been for the Sundowner and the B2200.
I have the Owner's Manual for B2200 and the Service Manual. (The service manual always seems to be on ebay for $20).
Do you have any specific info? I've never seen an advertised fuel economy.

The EPA listed the Highway at 33 MPG which is with the tires soft. With 40 PSI front and 35 PSI rear no cap or tail gate and drive at 35 MPH in 4 gear you can expect 38 MPG (note the odometer and speedometer readings are off) 55mph = 50mph probably because the transmission gear for the speedometer is the same as the gas trucks which have higher geared rear ends.

Mine gets a pretty steady 31. Highway or in town. I drive it hard to keep up with traffic. Tire pressure is less than 30 (set by Walmart). Mine smokes a lot. I figure an injector has problems. How come forum master Dave gets 45-50? www.nexicom.net/~north1/ Does he mean km/gal? Does Canadia use gallons? The tailgate shouldn't matter at 35 MPH. When at highway speed, tailgate UP should help.
