Anyone done a re core on their radiator? Most replacements are now aluminum and plastic, and of questionable capacity. Here in Seattle re core sounds like 350-450 for brass.

I swapped for an aluminum one last year after seeing a similar 350 for recore charge. Works great and cost 120$

Had mine re-cored several years ago when it was $150.00 here in CT. My truck is from southern CA and I guess they have hard water. Well worth getting it done than replacing it.

Does anyone know, is the B2000 the same as the B2200 radiator? I am thinking of getting one for the tanks alone

I had mine recored in the late 90's, last summer I had it cleaned and inspected. good to go for another 20 years. I use the 5 year antifreeze with the additive for Diesel engines. I have a short zinc anode in my overflow tank, to be sacrificed if the ph gets out of balance.

turns out my thermostat was bad, running far cooler now.
Any brand on antifreeze with diesel additive?

1981 to 1984 B2000 Gas radiator is NOT the same as B2200 diesel. It's too wide and short also has no Heater return on the bottom tank.
