Hey guys. I have a 1982 Mazda B2200 with the Perkins diesel in it. It’s been running great! But a couple of days ago. I got almost home and it started a weird vibration on acceleration and then at deceleration a little. When I got home. It idled fine. Well today I found time to go out and look at it. It started right up. So I let it idle for a bit to warm before I tried driving it to check to see if it was still doing the vibration thing. And it started like it was starving for fuel and running out. Then just cut off. Now it won’t start back like it’s out of fuel. Any body have any ideas where to start? Has a half a tank of fuel. Is there a fuel pump somewhere or relay

Same thing happened to mine, and it wasn't good. Here's what I did... I had recently changed the fuel filter and cleaned out the sedimenter. I tried priming the fuel filter and fuel came out like normal. I decided to drop the fuel tank. Which I had completely drained when I started the restoration. The fuel tank had about an inch of what looked like brown beach sand in it. I cleaned it out the best I could but the tank was rusted. I found a radiator shop and they cleaned and coated the tank. While the fuel level sending unit was out, I flushed it out real good with Mass Airflow Sensor cleaner (which won't harm plastics or insulation). It's been running good ever since. HTH Rob
