I checked the relays inside the controller, they looked good but I took some fine sandpaper and cleaned them any way, there was no change. I only found two fusible links, I checked both for continuity and they were good. So now i'm pretty much stumped, is there any way to test the two relays in the engine bay? The GP's are good, fusible links are good, I can hear both the controller and firewall relays click on so I assume they're good. I'm almost ready to just give up and wire in a manual switch, if I go that route what's the best way to do it? I know i'll need a momentary switch, a heavy-duty relay and some 8-10 gauge wire, anything else? and how exactly should I go about wiring this up?

You can check the main relays with a wire and a test light or multi meter. Hook a wire to the positive battery post. There are 2 small terminals on each glow plug relay. One is hooked to ground and the other gets power from the controller to engage them. touch the wire to the small positive terminal on the relay and you should hear it clunk. Hook the test light or meter to the large post that goes to the glow plugs and when the relay clunks you should get voltage on the test light or meter. Hearing the relay clunk doesn't mean that it is making connection across the terminals.
