Does anyone know where to get an upper rad hose? I can't find one ANYWHERE! My local parts stores even let me in there back rooms to try and match something close and couldn't find anything even close. The generic flex houses wouldn't work either. Right know I'm getting by with duct tape on my hose but would really like a proper fitting hose. Any ideas where to find one?

Every hose I've needed I've gotten a direct match through napa.. For some reason i always have to order for a 1984 ever though mine is an '83

My local NAPA was the first place I tried, they had nothing and said they could order nothing, both 83 and 84....I found some on Rockauto but they look NOTHING like our hoses, they say "cut to fit" anyone ever try these? I might try one since they're only around 5 bucks....

The diesel power magazing they had to redo a rad hose on their ranger diesel,, they used steel pipe with intercooler boots fastened by T bolt clamps... Might be worth a try?

The cut to fit hoses are shaped to fit properly but are longer than needed on some models so they can cover more applications with less inventory. There is a good chance the cut to fit hoses will work.

Widetrack, I've seen those before and they're pretty slick! but I'm on a tight budget Grady, I ordered one of the "cut to fit" hoses. I will post back to let others know how they fit. Thanks guys.

I understand the tight budget, my turbo build isnt like some of the guys where you see everything all clean and polished and everything looks show room, my engine compartment looks like a mess I've used those hoses they usually work out good. Have had to cut 2 hoses then in between them pipe and clamp them together to make it work a couple times..

The cut to fit hoses work fine. I've used 3 of them before. You have to get both ends though. The bigger end goes on the thermostat housing and you have to trim off some of it in order to some of the bend out. The other side you need to cut at a slight angle. When you get it just slide the thermostat side on and you'll see what angle you need to cut the other side to make it slide straight on.

The "cut to fit" hose worked, it's not a perfect fit on my truck, I have a slight kink in the hose that wouldn't straighten out no matter how I positioned it but it doesn't obstruct flow any. After reading Wayne's post I may need to trim one end at more of an angle to get the kink out. But for anyone looking in the future yes the "cut to fit" hose does work!
