I Ranger seller made the assertion that there were a total of 1200 of the ford ranger diesel's built. I asked him how he had come to learn that figure he was advertising in his web ad. He said it was what he had been told. So, has it come to anyone's attention what the figures are for the Ranger trucks? Is his figure close enough for all intents and purposes? " My truck is one of 1200, I'm so cool".

Let's do this. First, where where they built? All over? This 1983, 1FTOR10P6DUB38985, was built in Louisville, Kentucky according to the 11th digit which is the assembly plant code. Please, ranger owners on where with matching numbers have a look at their VINs for the assembly plant (11th digit corresponds with: B - Oakville (Oakville, Ontario Canada) C - Ontario Truck (Oakville, Ontario Canada) D - Avon Lake (Avon Lake, Ohio) E - Kentucky Truck (Jefferson County, Kentucky) H - Lorain (Lorain, Ohio) K - Kansas City (Claycomo Missouri) L - Michigan Truck (Wayne, Michigan) M - Cuautitlan, Mexico N - Norfolk (Norfolk, Virginia) P - Twin Cities (St. Paul, Minnesota) S - Allen Park (Allen Park, Michigan) T - Edison (Edison, New Jersey) U - Louisville (Louisville, Kentucky) Z - St. Louis (Hazlewood, Missouri)
I want to get a sense of what plants they were built at. Thanks for taking a moment to identify and post your Ranger's assembly location.
